To,
The Principal,
Respected Madam/Sir,
In this challenging world, education plays a pivotal role in shaping the progress of any individual. Education in the convention or traditional sense is found inadequate in providing the edge or help overall personality development of students. Our concern is with one major flaw of our system of education. The flaw can be identified briefly by saying that ‘A lot is taught, but little is learnt or understood’.
This widening gap between what is ‘taught’ and what is ‘experienced’ or learnt is a universal problem in all teaching-learning situations. Most children encounter difficulties when it comes to problems like tackling failure, relationships, sexuality, exam fears, stage fright, expressing themselves confidently and so on. Unfortunately no textbook or study period can solve these issues for them today. And it is very clear that these problems will go on to shape the futures of children. Therefore there is clear need for supplementary program that help shape the student’s overall personality development and equip them to be successful in all spheres (areas) of their life.
Humanistic Goals in Education:
We believe that most people want children to grow up to use their abilities for their own and other people joy and usefulness, and become productive social participants in their communities (which may be wished for on the scale of family, organization, social circle and nation, or on the larger, human society).
Future Mynds, with their unique program- Life Enhancement Skills (LES) aims to make education student-centered (instead of textbook- centered), experiential (instead of theoretical), and activity-oriented (instead of examination-oriented). The activity-oriented approach facilitates the involvement of the whole person (not merely his cerebrum), in the learning process. Similarly the interaction facilitates the involvement of the whole group (not merely the individual) in the process.
The Life Enhancement Skills is a complete educational program that can be imbibed in regular school curriculum (from class 1st to 10th) for youth development.
Life Enhancement Skills program will
o Prepare students of various ages to be responsible adults.
o Enhances their prospects for success.
o Promotes moral standards of respect, responsibility, honesty and fairness.
o Encourages ‘attributes’ that are good for the individual and good for each student’s ‘Globe’ – his/her area of influence.
The LES program focuses on four important aspects of child development as he/she may think and visualize, they are:
Self Perception (Self Esteem)
Who am ‘I’ ?
o Attitude
o Character
o Spirituality Reflection
How do ‘I’ project to
the external world ?
o Collaborator
o Personal Grooming
Performance
Am ‘I’ successful ?
o Communication
o Planning
o Money matters Future
How can ‘I’ contribute ?
o Giving Back
o Being the best

Future Mynds approach will be ‘Inside Out’ and our trainers are trained with powerful educational tools such as Practical Psychology, Pedagogy, NLP- Neuro Linguistic Programming and NAC-Neuro Associate Conditioning.
Trained facilitators will lead energy-packed sessions using an interactive approach that would include work sheets, puzzles, games, role-play, story telling, songs, art, discussions, brainstorming and many more, making the sessions fun-filled and memorable for the students. All the sessions have an established and time-tested format, which includes skill demonstration, feedback, `practicals' and projects so that young people can make healthy choices and adopt healthy behavior throughout their lives. Through our concept and purposeful program we will be focusing on development of attributes in students that will unleash the following abilities and capabilities.
1. Knowledge of self is the capacity of students to know who they are, what they want and do not want, and what does and does not please them. It also helps students recognize stressful situations.
2. The ability to communicate effectively will help students to express their feelings, needs, and ideas to others— verbally or otherwise.
3. The ability to establish and maintain interpersonal relations helps students to interact positively with people whom they encounter daily.
4. The ability to make decisions helps students assess their options and carefully consider the different consequences that can result from their choices.
5. The ability to solve problems helps students find constructive solutions to their problems. This skill can significantly reduce anxiety.
6. The capacity to think creatively is essential to decision making and problem solving. It enables students to explore all possible alternatives together with their consequences. It helps students look beyond their personal experience.
7. The capacity to think critically helps students objectively analyze available information along with their own experiences. It is this ability that helps students recognize the factors that influence their behavior, such as societal values, peer influence, and influence of the mass media.
8. The capacity to feel empathy is the ability to imagine what life is like for another person in a very different situation. It helps students to understand and accept diversity, and it improves interpersonal relations between diverse individuals.
9. The ability to handle emotions enables students to recognize their emotions and how they influence their behavior. It is especially important to learn how to handle difficult emotions such as violence and anger, which can negatively influence health.
10. The ability to handle tension and stress is a simple recognition by students of the things in life causing them stress and to work towards their solutions rather than avoiding or tussle with them.
Future Mynds also conducts a 2 or 3 days workshop for teachers titled “Train the Teachers” program. The teachers will gain expertise in scientific tools such as Practical Psychology, Pedagogy, NLP- Neuro Linguistic Programming and NAC-Neuro Associate Conditioning. They will understand the children behavior for effective communication and adopt creative approach to achieve better understanding.
We will welcome any clarification and explanations that you may require to explore the program in detail.

The two greatest concerns of employers today are finding good workers and training them. The difference between the skills needed on the job and those possessed by applicants, sometimes called the skills-gap, is of real concern to human resource managers & business owners looking to hire competent employees. While employers prefer to hire people who are trained & ready to go to work, they are usually not willing to provide the specialized, job-specific training necessary for those fresh employees lacking such skills due to time and cost factor and high attrition.
We believe that the main task of a professional educational institution is to lay firm foundations for successful careers. However it is also an established fact that “Pure academic or technical skills, alone, are not enough to get students good jobs”.
Employers are looking for people with employability or job readiness skills. Employers need reliable, responsible workers who can solve problems and who have the social skills and attitudes to work together with other workers. Creativity is now prized among employers who are trying to create the empowered, high performance workforce needed for competitiveness in today’s marketplace.
Students faced difficulties in tackling problems like:
• Aptitude- mental ability to perform well.
• Spoken English.
• Expressing views confidently.
• Problem solving & Decision Making
• Group discussion.
• Stage fright
• Time Management.
• Personal Interviews.
Failure to equip young students with the job readiness skills that are critical to job success is equivalent to placing employability barriers in their career path. Allowing students to graduate with these deficiencies has far reaching implications. There are ways; however, these deficiencies may be corrected.
A supplementary program is needed that can help shape the student’s overall personality development and equip them to be successful in all spheres (areas) of their life.
Career Enhancement Skills (CES) are those core skills necessary for getting, keeping, and doing well on a job. These are the skills, attitudes and actions that enable workers to get along with their fellow workers and supervisors and to make sound & critical decisions.
CES skills are generic in nature rather than job specific and cut across all industry types, business sizes, and job levels from the entry-level worker to the senior-most position.
Fresher with CES skills are in demand and are considered valuable human capital assets that give students a distinct competitive edge in the area of recruitments & placements.
Future Mynds own research and vast experience has guided us to design the program to equip the fresh employees to play different roles expected in a dynamic organization. The organizations face four core challenges to survive in the competitive market.

#4. Continuous improvement through innovation.
